Peak District National Park

The Peak District has something for everyone. Located in the heart of England, the national park is home to some magnificant scenery, impressive stately houses, and accommodation to suit every budget. With year round outdoor activities including walking, cycling, climbing, watersports and paragliding, the Peak District is certain to satisfy the most intrepid adventurer. Speciality shops and markets in the numerous towns and villages of the Peak District are sure to offer a genuine taste of the local delicacies, such as the famous Bakewell pudding and Stilton cheese. The heritage of the area should also be explored, from the magnificence of Chatsworth House (recently used in the new Pride & Prejudice movie) to the world heritage site of Derwent Valley Mills. Easy to reach by road, rail, coach or even air, the Peak District has one of the best rural public transport networks in Britain, with frequent buses or trains from neighbouring towns, cities and airports.
